CHICAGO — Robbers in West Town have been ordering pizzas before robbing the delivery driver of the order and cash, according to police.
At least two delivery drivers have been robbed when delivering pizzas to the same West Town address since Tuesday, police said in a community alert issued Saturday.
In the incidents, a pizza is ordered to 1339 N. Maplewood Ave. and as the delivery driver arrived, the men robbed the driver of the pizza order and cash, police said.
In one of the incidents, the robbers stole the driver's car and fled the scene in it, police said.
The first incident took place on Tuesday, April 26 and the second one on Friday, April 29, police said.
Police have described the robbers as two Hispanic men. One of them is considered to be 18 to 25-years-old, standing 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2 and weighing between 175 and 180 pounds with short brown hair, brown eyes and a light complexion.
The second robber is described as 20 to 25-years-old, standing between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-10 and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds with brown eyes, blond hair and a light complexion.
