CHICAGO — Two separate shootings wounded four people on the South Side overnight Saturday, according to police.
A Roseland shooting injured a 25-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman.
The two were in a car driving southbound in the 10700 block of South Martin Luther King Drive at 3:45 a.m. when a white car pulled up and someone inside opened fire, Estrada said.
The woman was struck in her leg and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in good condition, Estrada said. The man was shot in his abdomen and leg and was also taken to Christ in critical condition, he said.
Closer to 3 a.m., two men were wounded in Chicago Lawn, Estrada said.
The men walked into the Englewood Police District building, 1438 W. 63rd St., after being shot in the 6300 block of South Hamilton Avenue, Estrada said.
The 22-year-old was shot in his right leg and was taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was not released but police said he was "stable." The 32-year-old was grazed in his forehead and received treatment at the police station, Estrada said.
Both men are refusing to cooperate with police, Estrada said. No arrests have been made.
