EDISON PARK — The three-day Off The Trax music festival set for May 5-7 will feature more than 30 bands at four Edison Park venues, organizers announced.

The festival — formerly known as the North by Northwest Highway Music Fest — is being sponsored by the Edison Park Chamber of Commerce.

The festival will take place at Emerald Isle, 6686 N. Northwest Highway.; Firewater Saloon, 6689 N. Oliphant Ave.; Edison Park Inn, 6715 N, Oliphant Ave.; and Moretti’s Edison Park, 6727 N. Olmsted Ave.

Karin Elizabeth & The Remedy Band will headline the festival May 6 at Firewater Saloon; Without U2, a U2 tribute band, will headline May 6 at Moretti’s; and Don’t Speak, a No-Doubt tribute band, will headline May 7 at Emerald Isle.

Other rock, blues, pop, country and tribute bands are set to travel to Edison Park from throughout the Midwest to play the fest, which will also showcase the best Northwest Side bands, organizers said.

Admission to the fest is $5 for the Thursday shows and $10 for the shows on Friday and Saturday. A $15 pass will allow music lovers to see an unlimited number of shows during the three-day festival.

Sponsored by Blue Moon Brewing Co., the music starts at 6 p.m. May 5 and continues until 11 p.m. May 7.

The festival changed its name after a music festival in Austin claimed the rights to the North by Northwest name. The new name — which refers to the Metra tracks that run through Edison Park — was picked from suggestions made on the chamber's Facebook page.
