CHICAGO— Five people were wounded in separate West Side shootings since Saturday, police said.

At 5 p.m. Saturday, a 29-year-old man received a graze wound to the left hand and a 22-year-old man was shot in the left leg in the 800 block of North Avers Avenue in West Humboldt Park, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The 29-year old man refused treatment from paramedics while the 22-year old man was taken to Stroger. His condition was unknown, Sedevic said.

In other non-fatal West Side shootings:

At 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, a 30-year-old man was shot in the leg in the 3200 block of West Maypole Avenue in East Garfield Park, Sedevic said. The man was treated and released from Mt. Sinai Hospital, Sedevic said.

At midnight on Sunday, a 33-year-old man checked himself into Mt. Sinai stating he had been shot, Sedevic said. The man was in the 600 block of North Christiana Avenue in East Garfield Park and stated someone walked up to him and opened fire, Sedevic said.

At 9:55 p.m. on Saturday, a 21-year-old man was shot in the buttocks when someone in a red SUV fired shots in the 5100 block of West Madison Street in South Austin, Sedevic said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai where his condition was stabilized, Sedevic said.
