CHICAGO— In order to rebuild the trust of many Chicagoans, the Chicago Police Department made several updates to its Community Partnership directives last week.
Updates of note:
CAPS, which was the Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy was changed to Community Relations Strategy.
The Ride-Along program was reinstated.
The updates, which went into effect last Monday, Apr. 18, were first reported by the website, Crime Is Down.
