West Town Shooting Outside Bar Leaves 29-Year-Old Man Wounded, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 29-year-old man was shot outside a West Town bar early Saturday, police said.

At 1:54 a.m. the man got into a fight with someone outside a bar in the 1700 block of West Grand Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police Department spokesman. Someone took out a gun and shot the man.

The man was hit in his neck and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Estrada said.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
