By Kelly Bauer | April 23, 2016 7:55am

CHICAGO — A 22-year-old man was shot to death in North Lawndale early Saturday, police said.

About 12:45 a.m., the man was walking out of a store in the 1600 block of South Kedzie Avenue when someone in a car shot at him, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman, citing preliminary information.

The man was hit in his chest, Estrada said. He was dropped off at St. Anthony Hospital at 1:15 a.m. and then transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The man was identified as Gino Carrasco, of the 5100 block of South Sawyer, in Cook County Medical Examiner's Office records. Carrasco was pronounced dead at 4:30 a.m.

The man was a documented gang member, police said, and the shooting might be gang-related.

No one was in custody in the shooting.
