NORWOOD PARK — Residents of the 41st Ward can learn how to save a life at a free class.

Newly elected 41st Ward Committeeman Tim Heneghan will host the class set for 9 a.m. May 7 at Oriole Park, 5434 N. Olcott Ave.

Heneghan also hosted a CPR training class in April, which reached capacity quickly.

Many cardiac arrests occur in public places, and experts say the chances of survival are much higher if a bystander administers CPR before medics arrive.

Participants must be age 17 and older, organizers with the 41st Ward Democratic Organization said.
