CHICAGO — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed a woman at gunpoint at the Kedzie Pink Line station in North Lawndale.

The incident happened at 8:45 p.m. on April 3 as the woman was waiting at the Kedzie station, police said in a community alert issued Wednesday.

While she was waiting at the stop, a man came up to her and showed a gun before demanding her property, police said. The robber eventually took the woman's belongings by force, police said.

Police have described the robber as a black man, aged 17 to 20 years old, standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds. His image was captured on security cameras at the station.

Anyone with information on the case is asked to call area detectives at 312-747-8382.
