5 New Items To Try From The New Spring Menu At Pastoral's Appellation

ANDERSONVILLE — Pastoral's Appellation launched its new spring menu this week just in time for the warm weather.

To celebrate the launch, the wine bar and restaurant at 5212 N. Clark St. will unveil a new art exhibit from local artist Jill Sutton. The menu, created by chef Jesse Williams, features "a range of rustic, approachable and creative cuisine, according to a news release for the restaurant.

Here are five items to try from the new menu:

1. Sausage and clams served with green garlic cream, peas, asparagus and grilled bread.

2. Fried artichokes served with egg-lemon sauce, Italian salsa verde and grated Pantaleo

3. Potato, ramp and fennel pierogis served with smoked marisa, shaved asparagus, butter and herbs

4. Ricotta and sweet pea toast served with guanciale

5. Mustard and herbes de Provence-rubbed pork loin served with wheat berries and roasted carrots.
