Grand Crossing Shooting Wounds 24-Year-Old Man, Police Say

CHICAGO — A man was shot and wounded in Grand Crossing on Wednesday, police said.

At 11:58 a.m., a 24-year-old man was in the 400 block of East 71st Street when he was shot in his leg, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman, citing preliminary information.

The man was taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," said Officer Michelle Tannehill, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

No one was in custody.
