CHICAGO — Two 19-year-old men and a 22-year-old man were wounded in two separate shootings in Austin Wednesday afternoon, according to police.

One of the men was shot in the 200 block of South Lavergne Avenue at 5:15 p.m., said Officer Kevin Quaid, Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was on the corner talking to friends when a light-colored van pulled up and someone inside got out before firing, Quaid said. He was struck in his left foot and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in "stable" condition, he said. Police could not detail the extent of the man's injuries.

Two men were shot in the 4900 block of West Walton Street at 4:05 p.m., Quaid said.

They walked into West Suburban Hospital Wednesday afternoon after they were both shot in the buttocks, Quaid said. Both were listed as stable, though police could not detail the extent of their injuries.

The men are documented gang members and were not cooperating with police.

No arrests have been made in either of the shootings, Quaid said.
