CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park early Tuesday, police said.

At 6:09 a.m., the man was walking in the 3400 block of West Chicago Avenue when a man in a black hooded sweatshirt walked up and fired shots, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his upper torso and legs. He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Pacheco said.
