CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in Chicago Lawn just after midnight Friday, according to police.

The man was found at 12:10 a.m. unresponsive on the sidewalk in the 6400 block of South Western Avenue, said Officer Jose Estrada, Chicago Police spokesman. He had been shot in his chest and was pronounced dead on the scene, Estrada said.

The man was identified as Raymond Pryor, of the 6400 block of South Western Avenue, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Pryor was pronounced dead at 12:30 a.m.

The man is a documented gang member, according to police.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, Estrada said.
