Burnside Shooting Injures Man, 23, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 23-year-old man was wounded in a Burnside shooting Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The man was in the 9300 block of South Woodlawn Avenue at 4:14 p.m. Thursday when shots rang out, said Officer Michelle Tannehill,a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He was shot in his back, shoulder and neck, Tannehill said, citing preliminary information.

He got themselves to Advocate Trinity Hospital, where he was listed in "stable" condition, she said. Police could not detail the extent of his injuries.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

No arrests have been made.
