CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were shot in Austin Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The victims were in the 5700 block of West Iowa Street at 3:30 p.m. Thursday when they heard shots and felt pain, said Officer Michelle Tannehill, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The 17-year-old was shot in his shoulder and ear and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, Tannehill said. His condition was unknown, she said.

The 21-year-old man was shot in his left shoulder and was treated on the scene of the shooting, Tannehill said.

Both shooting victims are not cooperating with police. No arrests have been made, Tannehill said.
