Chicago Lawn Shooting Leaves Man, 18, Dead, Police Say

CHICAGO — An 18-year-old man was found dead of gunshot wounds in Chicago Lawn late Sunday morning, according to police.

The man was found at 11:20 a.m. Sunday in the 6500 block of South Fairfield Avenue with gunshot wounds to his head and wrists, said Officer Ana Pacheco, Chicago Police spokesman.

The man was identified as Dennis Bradford II, of the 6200 block of South Mozart, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Bradford was pronounced dead at 11:43 a.m. at the scene.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, Pacheco said. No arrests have been made as the investigation is ongoing, she said.

The man is a documented gang member, according to police.
