By Kelly Bauer | April 9, 2016 12:21pm

CHICAGO — A 71-year-old man was killed in a fatal car accident caused by icy condition on the Eisenhower early Saturday, state police said.

At 12:38 a.m., the Oak Park man was outside his car on the Eisenhower near Central Avenue when there were multiple car accidents, with one of the cars hitting the man, according to an Illinois State Police news release. Police are not yet sure which car hit the man.

Two women who were injured were taken to Loretto Hospital and another woman was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, police said.

The crashes were caused by icy roads and weather, police said. The expressway was shut down and traffic diverted until 10:30 a.m.
