CHICAGO — Five people have been injured in shootings since Friday, police said.

• Most recently, at 2:12 a.m. Saturday, a 24-year-old man was shot in Bronzeville, said Officer Jose Estrada, a Chicago Police spokesman. The man was walking down the street in the 4500 block of South Drexel Boulevard when he heard shots and felt pain.

The man was shot in his buttocks and taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Estrada said. The man was treated and released.

The shooter drove away, police said. The victim is a documented police member and officers think the shooting is gang-related.

• At 8:30 p.m., a 29-year-old man was shot in Humboldt Park, Estrada said. The man was working on a car outside in the 3300 block of West Beach Avenue when a group of people pulled up in a black car and someone inside the car shot at the man.

The man was hit in his leg. A friend took the man to Norwegian Hospital and he was transferred to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was not released but he was listed as "stable," Estrada said.

The woman was hit in her head and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was in critical condition, Estrada said.

The woman's boyfriend was driving the car she was in, police said, and officers think he was the intended target of the shooting.
