Brighton Park Robberies Prompt Police Warning

BRIGHTON PARK — Police are warning Brighton Park residents of a series of robberies that have occurred within a small area of the neighborhood in recent weeks.

In each incident, police said, a group of three men walked up to someone robbed them.

The robberies were reported at:

• 2 a.m. March 21 in the 4600 block of South Western Avenue

• 8 p.m. March 28 in the 4800 block of South Western Avenue

• Just after midnight March 29 in the 4700 block of South Western Avenue

• 4:50 a.m. March 29 in the 2400 block of West 47th Place at 4:50 a.m.

Police described two of the suspects as Hispanic men between ages 23-25, with black hair and olive complexions.

The third suspect is described as a 25-year-old black man with black hair standing around 5 feet 2 inches and weighing about 130 pounds.

Anyone with information on the robberies or the suspects is asked to call detectives at 312-747-8382.
