
CHICAGO — A South Loop man has been charged with burglary after breaking into an Old Town business while out on parole, police said.
Jason Caldwell, 38, of the 1400 block of South Canal Street has been charged with six counts of felony burglary in connection to the alleged overnight crime Jan. 29 in the 300 block of West North Avenue, police said.
Caldwell broke the glass door to an undisclosed business in the block and took money, said Officer Nicole Trainor, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. Police then found a witness who identified Caldwell, who was arrested Sunday in Little Village.
The amount stolen and the prior crime for which Caldwell was out on parole was not disclosed.
