Jefferson Park Burglaries Prompt Police Warning

JEFFERSON PARK — Police are warning Far Northwest Side residents of a series of burglaries that have hit the area in the past month, according to a Monday community alert.

In each incident, police said, someone broke into a home "through the front/rear doors or windows" and made off with "electronics, jewelry, cash, and other...items."

The burglaries were reported at the following times and locations:

• The 5500 block of West Higgins Avenue during the day on March 8

• The 4500 block of North Central Avenue at 6:34 p.m. on March 17

• The 4800 block of North Strong Street between 3 p.m. and 8:40 p.m. on March 18

• The 5100 block of West Montrose Avenue at 8 p.m. on April 2
