CHICAGO — Chicagoans will have to survive off memories of Sunday's beautiful weather as they head into another cold and possibly snowy week, according to meteorologists from the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will hover around the mid-40s most of the week with sporadic rain, meteorologist Amy Seeley said, and it will only get wetter as the days go on.

In fact, she said, conditions will be cold enough to expect some snow mixed in with rain showers Thursday morning.

There's also a chance of more snow on Friday, weather that's ultimately "not uncommon for Chicago in April," Seeley said.

"The average temperature for this time of year is 54 degrees, so yes, it's a bit colder than average," Seeley said. "But it's really not horrible. We're not breaking any records here."

None of Thursday's snow is likely to accumulate, she added.
