LOGAN SQUARE — It appears that last weekend's fire at the Lost Lake tiki bar was worse than previously thought.

The popular spot at 3154 W. Diversey Ave. will remain closed indefinitely as smoke damage was significant.

"Now that we’ve had a few days to process the aftermath of last weekend’s kitchen fire, it has become clear that the smoke damage in Lost Lake will require a little more cleanup than we originally anticipated. We remain grateful that no one was hurt as we are working to reopen as quickly as possible," Lost Lake's owners said in a statement Friday.

While the bar remains closed Lost Lake will hold pop-ups around town to "make sure our guests can keep some Lost Lake tiki in their lives."

The pop-up schedule includes:

Monday, April 4, at the Freehand’s Broken Shaker, 19 E. Ohio St., (7 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
Tuesday, April 5, at Sportman’s Club, 948 N. Western Ave., (5 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
Thursday, April 7, at OSB at Longman & Eagle, 2657 N. Kedzie Ave., (5 p.m. to 12 a.m.)
Sunday, April 10, at Bar DeVille, 701 N. Damen Ave., (7 p.m. to 2 a.m.)
Monday, April 11, in Indianapolis at Thunderbird (7 p.m. to 11 p.m.)

"The amount of support that our Chicago cocktail-making friends have shown Lost Lake is humbling and inspiring, and we are more proud than ever to be a part of this incredible community," Lost Lake's owners said in their statement.

The electrical fire, which has shut down the bar, broke out Sunday night in the kitchen. No one was hurt.

Each pop-up event will have a unique set of drinks for the night.
