Rogers Park Police Bust Nabs Guns, Drugs On Same Block As District Station

ROGERS PARK — Police said it's always good to know your neighbor — that is unless your hobby involves illegal guns, drugs and lots of cash and it's police who happen to be your neighbors.

Such was the case late Wednesday night when around 11:30 p.m. the Chicago Police Department tweeted, "Live: Search warrant being executed in the 024th District targeting guns and drugs."

At 11:49 p.m., police tweeted again and said two guns had been recovered in the 6400 block of North Clark Street — the same block as Rogers Park Police District headquarters, which sits at 6464 N. Clark St.

The 6400 block of North Clark Street runs from Clark and Devon north to the police station. Next to the station is the Gerber/Hart Library at 6500 N. Clark St.
