PORTAGE PARK — A fundraiser set for Saturday will benefit the Figment Festival, which plans to return to Chicago this summer after a one-year hiatus.

The festival, which took place at Garfield Park in 2013 and moved to Jefferson Park in 2014, features just about every kind of art imaginable except the kind that hangs on walls or sits in a gallery.

The benefit, dubbed "Imagine 3.0: A Symphony of Color," will take place from 2-10 p.m. Saturday at the Filament Theatre, 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave.

Admission — in the form of a "suggested donation" — is $15, and baked goods will be for sale to benefit the festival, which is run entirely by volunteers and is free for both artists and attendees.

Family-friendly activities will take place until 6 p.m., including workshops, art installations, musical performances and performance art, organizers said.

After 6 p.m., attendees can bring alcoholic beverages and dance to performances. From 9-10 p.m., "adult oriented" variety performances will take place, organizers said.

Those who come dressed in their favorite color will be entered into a drawing for a prize, organizers said.

Figment Festivals, which take place all over the world, are designed to showcase "art that encourages participants to play, dance, sing, create, engage, experiment and explore their environment," according to the festival's website.

A time, day and location for the festival has not been publicly announced by festival organizers.
