CHICAGO — A 19-year-old man was injured in an East Garfield Park shooting Thursday morning, according to police.

The man was in the 3200 block of West Madison Street at around 10:05 a.m. when he got into an argument with another man, said Officer Nicole Trainor, Chicago Police spokeswoman.

He turned to walk away from the fight and was then shot, Trainor said. He was struck in his chest, and managed to get himself to Norwegian American Hospital in good condition, Trainor said.

No arrests have been made, Trainor said.
