South Shore Shooting Leaves Man Dead, Police Say

SOUTH SHORE — A 31-year-old man was found shot to death in South Shore early Wednesday morning, police said.

Around 12:45 a.m., police arrived in the 2400 block of East 72nd Street to find the man unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was pronounced dead on the scene, Pacheco said.

The man was identified as Brion Barlow, of the 2400 block of East 73rd Street, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Barlow as pronounced dead at 2:02 a.m. of multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said the man was a documented gang member.

No one is in custody, Pacheco said.
