This 93-Story 'Luxury' Tower Is Coming To Wacker Drive (PHOTOS)

DOWNTOWN — The developer of a 93-story luxury tower coming to Wacker Drive has released more renderings of the project in a bid to boost sales.

Vista Tower, a supertall skyscraper designed by star Chicago architect Jeanne Gang, is slated to rise at 381 E. Wacker Drive in three years. Developed by Chinese conglomerate Wanda Group and Chicago-based Magellan Development, the project will contain more than 400 luxury condominiums and nearly 200 hotel rooms.

Sales at the tower are underway, and Magellan recently released more renderings of the high-rise to give prospective buyers a better look at what they'd be buying into. Gang, the architect behind nearby Aqua Tower, said her distinctive Vista design is inspired by stacking frustums, or geometric shapes she likened to bits of Toblerone chocolate bars

Construction has not started, but Magellan said it hopes to open the tower by 2019. Click the slideshow above or scroll down below for more new renderings of the project:
