JEFFERSON PARK — Volunteers are needed to help spruce up three locations in the 45th Ward as part of a citywide cleanup event.
Ald. John Arena (45th) will host cleanup events starting at 10 a.m. April 16 at the Jefferson Park Transit Center, 4917 N. Milwaukee Ave.; along Avondale Avenue near Lawrence Avenue, 5216 W. Lawrence Ave.; and along Avondale Avenue near Irving Park Road, 4185 W. Irving Park Road.
The cleanup effort is also being sponsored by Jefferson Park Forward, a community group.
The event is an opportunity for individuals and community groups to gather and help beautify Chicago's neighborhoods, Arena said.
