DUNNING — In a sure sign of spring in Chicago, construction cones will bloom this week in Dunning.

The Chicago Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing Irving Park Road from Cumberland Avenue to Forest Preserve Drive Monday, said Ald. Nicholas Sposato (38th).

The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of June.

The project will include wheelchair ramps, sidewalks, curbs, asphalt paving, a concrete bus pad and striping, Sposato said.

Parking will be restricted during work hours along Irving Park Road.
