CHICAGO — The city looks set to tease us with warm weather again before falling back to its chilly plateau this week, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will start creeping up Tuesday and top out in the mid-60s Wednesday, meteorologist Ben Deubelbeiss said. The warm air will bring wind gusts up to 35 mph.

Still, he added, it doesn't look like this will be the week the sun finally makes a full appearance.

"We may get some sunshine early in the day" Wednesday, Deubelbeiss said, but "the afternoon will be cloudy, with a chance of showers and even thunderstorms."

The threat of rain will linger into Thursday, he added, when temperatures are once again forecast to sink below 50 degrees.
