
CHICAGO — One man died and another was wounded after shots rang out in a Greater Grand Crossing bar early Friday, according to police.
The two men were shot after a fight in a bar in the 7500 block of South Michigan Avenue, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. Shots rang out inside the bar about 1:40 a.m. Friday, she said.
The shooting happened at the popular Fifty Yard Line bar, 69 E. 75th St., the Tribune reports.
A 29-year-old man was shot in his abdomen and was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition before he was pronounced dead, Sedevic said.
A 32-year-old man was shot multiple times in his leg and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition, Sedevic said.
After the shooting, a 26-year-old woman was hit by a car while she was trying to run away from the bar, Sedevic said. She was taken to Stroger Hospital in "stable" condition, Sedevic said.
Police have arrested a person in connection with the shooting, and charges are pending, Sedevic said.
