ROGERS PARK — Ever wonder what buildings would say if walls could talk?

A free walking tour of historic homes and "grand" apartment buildings in Rogers Park Wednesday is shedding some light on what those stories might be.

Known for its rich architectural diversity and desire to preserve historic buildings, Rogers Park has seen developmental inspiration from the likes of Frank Lloyd Wright and many of his cohorts.

Urbanologist Max Grinnell will lead the tour "rain or shine" as part of the library's "One Book: One Chicago" literary engagement program that seeks to answer, "What if all of Chicago read the same book at the same time?"

The tour kicks off at 5 p.m. and runs until 6:30 p.m., with walkers meeting at the Rogers Park Library, 6907 N. Clark St., near the intersection of Clark and Farwell.
