MORGAN PARK — The Metra station at 107th Street in Morgan Park reopened this week with a refurbished floor.

The station at 1901 W. 107th St. was closed for about a week while the repairs were being made, Metra spokeswoman Meg Reile said.

Access to the building on the Rock Island District Line was restricted while the floor was being repaired, said Reile, who said the project was part of the ongoing maintenance conducted at Metra stations.

"The floor had just exceeded its useful life," Reile said Wednesday.
