LOGAN SQUARE — "In a world where no Bloody Mary reigns supreme..."

So begins the trailer for Bloody Mary Fest 2016, which is back in Chicago for the third year.

Tickets for the festival go on sale Tuesday at 10 a.m.

This year's Bloody Mary Competition will be held at Logan Square Auditorium, 2539 N. Kedzie Blvd.

May 15, which presumably not by chance, falls on a Sunday — Sunday funday.

Two bars and restaurants are participating in this year's Bloody Mary Festival including The Gage, Paddy Long's, Mash and Howell's and Hood. The other eight participating bars will be announced on a once-a-week basis at bloodymarychi.com.

Tickets are $5 and include 12 3-ounce tasting tickets, four 3-ounce sample tickets for specialty drink stations including mimosas and beer and four "side car" tickets for a 12-ounce drink of choice.

Attendees are the judges for the competition and will vote based on taste, visual display and overall presentation.
