GARFIELD RIDGE — Midway Dispensary, which plans to be the third medical marijuana dispensary to open in Chicago, will host an open house Saturday for patients and interested parties.
The dispensary at 5648 S. Archer Ave. is scheduled to open in April, according to its website. From 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., the facility will offer the public a rare opportunity to see inside the dispensary, according to a press release.
“We have been working on this project for more than two years and we are excited to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We look forward to providing relief to qualified patients of Chicago,” said the dispensary’s Agent-in-Charge, Mary McCarthy.
During the open house, the company will answer questions and supply patients, community groups and medical professionals with information about Chicago's medical marijuana program.
"We want to, first and foremost, provide the medicine that will improve the lives of people with qualifying conditions. We want to help close the information gap that exists between the state and those eligible patients, caregivers and physicians that want to understand how the program works," said Steven Turk, CEO of Midway Dispensary.
"We are dedicated to this field of medicine, as well as this community, and we understand how important it is that we succeed to ensure we continue to provide relief to our patients for years to come,” Turk said.
