CHICAGO — A person was shot while driving on Interstate 57 early Friday, state police said.

Just before 2 a.m., a person was shot while driving at I-57 and 111th Street in Morgan Park, said Sgt. Jason Bradley, a State Police spokesman. The victim was shot in his or her leg.

The victim's exact condition was not released, but he or she was listed as stable with non-life threatening injuries, Bradley said.

The lanes around the shooting were closed for about two hours while police investigated, but they have since re-opened, Bradley said.
