13-Year-Old Boy Shot As He Sat on Logan Square Home's Front Stoop: Police

CHICAGO — A 13-year-old boy was shot while sitting outside on Thursday night, police said.

At 10:25 p.m., the boy was sitting on the front stoop of a home in the 2900 block of North Sawyer when someone in a gray sedan fired shots at the boy, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The boy was hit in his left foot.

The boy was taken to Norwegian American Hospital. His exact condition was not released but he was listed as stable, Sedevic said.

No one was in custody.
