EDGEWATER — If you see actress Geena Davis, or anyone who may be experiencing a demonic haunting in the neighborhood, fear not — Davis is in town shooting "The Exorcist" television series pilot.

The show is filming from 7 a.m. to 7p.m. all day Tuesday and Wednesday on the west side of Magnolia Avenue at Catalpa, and specifically at 5445 N. Magnolia Ave., according to a notice from a 20th Century Fox Television location manager.

Portions of that stretch of the street will be blocked off with "no parking" signs to make space for film crews, and the production company said they will be working with the Chicago Fire Department and Police Department during the process.

The pilot is being filmed in the Lakewood Balmoral Historic District of Edgewater, where many of the neighborhood's first homes and streets have been preserved for decades.
