CHICAGO — A 24-year-old woman was shot when two men got into her car and tried to rob her in West Humboldt Park, police said.

At 11:45 a.m. Friday, the woman was in a car in the 1100 block of North Kedvale Avenue when two men walked up and got into the car, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. At least one of the men had a gun and they tried to rob the woman.

One of the men shot the woman in her back and right thigh during the attempted robbery, Sedevic said. They ran away without getting anything from the woman.

The woman crashed into a parked car and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, Sedevic said.

No one was in custody.
