Near North Side Shooting Wounds 21-Year-Old Man Friday, Police Say

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting in the Near North Side on Friday night, police said.

At 8:59 p.m., the man was walking down the street in the 1000 block of North Hudson Avenue when someone fired at him from a light-colored Nissan, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The man was hit in his ankle and took himself to Northwestern Hospital. He was in good condition, Sedevic said.

No one was in custody.
