By Kelly Bauer | March 12, 2016 10:45am

CHICAGO — A 21-year-old man was shot and wounded in Humboldt Park early Saturday, police said.

At 12:10 a.m., the man was driving a car and was stopped at a red light in the 1400 block of North Western Avenue when a man walked up to him and fired shots into the car, said Officer Janel Sedevic, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

The victim was shot in back, leg and right arm. He drove himself to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where he was "stable," Sedevic said, but police did not say his condition.

The man is a documented gang member, police said.

No one was in custody.
