Man Killed in South Loop Stabbing After Domestic Dispute, Police Say

CHICAGO — A woman stabbed a 27-year-old man to death in the South Loop on Wednesday, police said.

At 8:40 p.m., the man was involved in a domestic dispute with a 29-year-old woman when he was stabbed in the chest, said Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman. The man was taken to Northwestern Hospital and was pronounced dead.

The man was identified as Ronald Thomas, of the 2100 block of South Michigan Avenue, in Cook County Medical Examiner's records. Thomas was pronounced dead at 9:24 p.m.

The woman is in custody and charges are pending, Pacheco said.
