UPTOWN — The American Indian Center will host a team archery tournament Sunday.

The competition will begin at 10 a.m. at the American Indian Center, 1630 W. Wilson Ave.

It will feature a qualifying round that will be used to seed teams for the team competition immediately following. Groups might also be allowed to register as a team beforehand, organizer Al Eastman said.

Archers will shoot from 18 meters, the standard indoor range, at 40-centimeter targets.

All ages are welcome, but participants most provide their own equipment. In past tournaments, competitors have ranged from as young as 13 to seniors, he said.

The tournament is $20 to enter and payment is due at check-in.
