
BEVERLY — Targeting pedestrians walking alone, a pair of armed robbers have struck twice in the East Beverly neighborhood recently, according to a community alert issued by the Chicago Police Department.
In both robberies, two teens approached their victims either armed with a gun or implying they had one, police said.
The first robbery occurred Feb. 25 in the 1800 block of West 100th Street. The second happened March 1 in the 1700 block of West 104th Street, according to police.
Both robberies occurred between 8-11:30 p.m., and the robbers were described as black teens between ages 16-18. They both stood about 5-foot-7 and weighed about 170 pounds, police said.
One of the robbers had dreadlocks, and both were wearing hooded sweatshirts at the time of the robberies. The gun used is described as a silver revolver, police said.
