Police Warn of Late-Night Robberies Along 606 in Last 2 Weeks

LOGAN SQUARE — Three people have been robbed along the 606 since Feb. 19, according to a community alert released Friday.

In each incident, police said, a small group of young men tackled cyclists, took their property and fled. In one instance, one of the robbers showed a pistol.

The robberies were reported at the following points along the trail, which runs along Bloomingdale Avenue:

• At Kedzie Avenue at 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 19

• Between Campbell Avenue and Rockwell Street at 11:15 p.m. on March 1

• Between Campbell Avenue and Rockwell Street at 10:30 p.m. on March 3

Police said the suspects were described as two to four young men wearing black, gray or blue hooded sweatshirts at the time.
