HUMBOLDT PARK — A man died and two others were wounded after shootings in the Humboldt Park neighborhood between Wednesday and Thursday, police said.

Around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, a man was inside a business in the 3600 block of West Division Street when two men walked inside and shot him multiple times, according to Officer Ana Pacheco, a Chicago Police spokeswoman.

Tommie L. Pledge, 31, of the 5200 block of West Congress, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:38 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. Police originally said he was 32 years old.

The shooters fled, and no one is in custody, Pacheco said.

Police said the victim was a documented gang member.

• Around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, a 36-year-old man was walking in the 800 block of North St. Louis Avenue when someone pulled up next to him in a car, Pacheco said. The driver demanded money, then shot him in the torso and drove away.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, Pacheco said.

• Just after 3 p.m. Wednesday, a 27-year-old man was walking in the 4100 block of West North Avenue when someone jumped out of a nearby car and shot at him before fleeing, Pacheco said.

The man was brought to Mount Sinai Hospital, where was treated for a graze wound in the head, Pacheco said.

Police said the man was a documented gang member.
