UPTOWN — As the CTA continues work on the Wilson Station Reconstruction Plan, Wilson Avenue will be closed to vehicles starting Wednesday.

From 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday, Wilson will be closed from Clifton Avenue to Broadway. The area will still be open to pedestrian traffic, according to an update by Uptown United.

During the closures, the Wilson Station entrance will remain open along with the service drive to Truman College. There will be noise and dust during the construction, Uptown United said.

The Department of Water Management will also be replacing a 110-year-old sewer on Broadway from Wilson to Leland Avenue this week. First, the department will install a new sewer line, which is a 1-2 day process.

By next week, the department will complete "a liner curing process," which should take 2-3 days. The project is expected to be completed by the end of March, but is dependent on the weather, Uptown United said.

There should be no impact on water service.
