STREETERVILLE — A woman wearing a fur-lined coat robbed a BMO Harris branch in Streeterville Tuesday morning, federal authorities said.

The robbery was reported at about 9:12 a.m. at the bank, 352 E. Illinois St., according to the FBI's BanditTracker website. The amount stolen is unknown.

Authorities said the suspect is an approximately 5'9 white woman who was wearing a gray fur-lined winter coat, sunglasses, and a black scarf at the time of the robbery.

She made a "threatening demand" for the money but did not show a weapon or otherwise harm anyone, said Diane Carbonara, a public affairs specialist in the FBI's Chicago office.

Patrick O'Herlihy, a BMO spokesman, confirmed the robbery but deferred questions to the FBI.
